Job Description:

GME Testing is seeking a highly motivated individual to take on the position of Driller Assistant to join our rapidly growing company in our existing Fort Wayne, Indiana office. Work is outside all year round. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.+ and be able to work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drilling for soil sampling and monitoring well installation.
• Assist chief driller in all aspects of the drilling operation. (Set up rig, carrying augers, cleaning samplers between sample intervals, shovel auger cuttings, and backfill borings.)
• Prepare sample jars prior to job
• Complete bore logs in the field
• Collect samples and fill sample jars.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Compensation:

• Pay Rate is dependent on experience and milestones achieved starting @ $18+ per hour

Qualifications:

• Ambition to obtain well drilling license
• Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing with GME Testing personnel and Clients.
